NEUTEX™ Advanced Energy Group Announces New Corporate Headquarters
HOUSTON, TX (February 24, 2011) – NEUTEX™ Advanced Energy Group, parent company of NEUTEX Lighting™, today announced that they have officially begun the demolition and reconstruction of a 40,000 square foot property that, when completed, will serve as their U.S based headquarters and domestic manufacturing hub of innovative and energy efficient LED lighting. The existing, vacant facility, which NEUTEX has begun to “recycle,” is located at 15700 Vickery Road, near Houston’s Bush Intercontinental Airport
The development of domestic manufacturing operations in their hometown of Houston moves them into the final phase of making good their promise to reposition much of their manufacturing from China back to the United States. The new plant will accommodate multiple lines of their innovative LED advanced lighting solutions. Their LED products for large commercial, residential and marine applications are some of the industry’s most advanced, energy efficient, cost-saving technologies available.
The new headquarters, which includes corporate operations and R&D clean-rooms will be the company’s second Houston office, but will actually become their primary base.
John Higgins, President and CEO of the company, says the sufficient space offered by the new offices will allow NEUTEX™ to continue its explosive growth rate. Also important to the team was remaining in Houston. “It only made sense for the company blazing the trail in the advancement of energy usage should be located in the energy capital of the world,” explains Mr. Higgins.
Of crucial importance was that even in times of burgeoning growth, NEUTEX™ remained true to its core philosophies.
They knew they could have built a brand new, state of the art building; given the company’s background in construction and their initial burgeoning growth. However, the group knew the better solution was to give life back to an existing, vacant building; one of the many that are beginning to dot the landscape. “With everything that already can be recycled, we thought “why not a building?” explains Mr. Higgins.
With that in mind, the team sought out an existing building that had potential to be turned into a LEED certified structure with the right people behind the project; soon beginning their unique “building recycling” program which includes re-using steel and lumber framing when available or applicable and using funds gained from recycling the massive amounts of lead sheets and metal frames to purchase new ones.
Most importantly, however is that in addition to the over 20 people currently on the team, Higgins and NEUTEX™ anticipate adding over 50 more in May 2011 when the manufacturing lines for their LED lights go online, with the potential to increase to 500 new jobs to the are if the sales projections are met.
“While many companies are eliminating employees, outsourcing manufacturing abroad and cutting services to their clients, we are doing the opposite. We are returning previously outsourced jobs and creating new ones, as we continue expanding services and operations.”
“I only see exceptional growth for the future of this company. We offer high quality, incredibly energy efficient products, many of which will be MADE IN THE USA!
